Local and Regional Water Supply and Storage Projects
IRWD’s major groundwater source is its Dyer Road Well Field (DRWF) wells. IRWD also recovers water from the Orange Park Acres (OPA) well and in the future will recover from future groundwater supplies. Table B-2B shows the annual estimates for these supplies used in Table B-2 . Values presented in Table B-2B are based on available capacities and calculated projections. Projections are consistent with methods and assumptions further described in the 2025 UWMP for a normal year. As described in IRWD’s 2025 UWMP Section 7, the final expansion of the GWRS in 2022 by Orange County Water District provides additional groundwater supplies. IRWD assumes additional groundwater supplies for the period 2030 through 2045 and also applies these assumptions in the expected outcome calculations for increased regional self-reliance resulting in reduced Delta reliance (see Tables B-2 and B-2B ).

In addition, IRWD has developed a groundwater banking program in Kern County, California, which is available for critical dry years or in the event of a Delta outage. Under a long-term agreement with a local water district, IRWD stores non-State Water Project supplies during wet years that can be made available for recovery and use during dry years. These supplies are for
