Estimating Future Water Savings
The CWC states that a water supplier must indicate in its 2025 UWMP when its forecasts do not reflect any representation of water savings from codes, standards, ordinances or transportation and land-use plans, as required by CWC section 10631(d)(4)(B)(ii). The MWDOC model used to develop water use projections for average or normal years incorporates passive conservation from codes, standards, or ordinances. This passive conservation is projected based on the 2021 Orange County Residential Water Efficiency
